$750,000 awarded in grants to 58 local nonprofits

The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s Competitive Grants program supported 58 nonprofit organizations with $750,000 during the latest granting cycle. The Community Foundation’s grants serve a wide range of needs, including Health & Human Services, Arts & Culture, Conservation & Environment, Animals, Education, Civic and Recreation.

The rise in applications this year called for exceptional dedication from our volunteer review committee. The grants awarded highlight both the pressing challenges and the remarkable creativity of local nonprofits working in education, conservation, food access and mental health,” said Laurie Andrews, President of the Community Foundation. We were deeply inspired by the spirit of collaboration and resilience shown by these organizations, and we’re honored to stand behind their vital work.”

This year, the Community Foundation received 71 applications for Competitive Grants totaling nearly $1,340,000 in requests, a 13% increase over last year. The grant requests were reviewed by a volunteer committee comprised of 28 community members, including 4 high school students. Grants were awarded based on community need and anticipated impact. Funding for the Community Foundation’s Competitive Grants Program is provided by Old Bill’s CoChallengers, individual donors and endowed funds.
