Does your organization’s story (mission, elevator pitch, etc.) line up with the story your financials tell? Can you support your organization’s story with clear, easy to understand financial metrics? This workshop will introduce custom educational opportunities and inspire participants to align their organization’s financial realities with its story. A basic knowledge of financial reports (e.g. P&L and Balance Sheets) is helpful but not required.

    Format:

    • A 2-hour, workshop style presentation with hands-on, custom guidance using your organization's real-time financials. See What To Bring below.
    • Enrollment is limited to 24 participants.

What To Bring: Please bring a laptop computer, profit and loss statement, and balance sheet. Financial information will not be shared, but you will have the opportunity to work with your own real-time data.

    Tuition: $50 per participant

Facilitator: Megan Smith of Deliberate Dollars

Megan has served as the treasurer of several nonprofit organizations including Womentum and The Wyoming Chapter of The Wildlife Society. Through this work she gained a deeper understanding for the power of supporting a nonprofit’s stated goals with clear financial storytelling. When not working with nonprofits, Megan is a small business owner and systems thinker who, over a decade ago, became very interested in finances. She believes that by using ideas such as “small buckets,” automation, and systematically thinking about priorities and goals, money will align with desires and an abundance will follow.
