12 COMMUNITY MENTORS for 12 High School graduates 

Help a new college student succeed –  Become a Mentor for students  



What is expected to be a Mentor?

  • Attend a mentor Zoom training session offered through CWC Thursday, May 6th 9 -11 AM OR Friday May 7 the 11 AM – 1 PM
  • Complete a basic background check paid for and completed by Central Wyoming College
  • Each mentor will be matched with a student interested in a career field they represent
  • Build a relationship!  Mentors may provide guidance in career field, access to professional network, and/or recommendations for education as student explores their interests and considers careers
  • Meet with your mentee!  CWC BRIDGE to COLLEGE & SUCCESS will host two group meetings for students and mentors this summer but mentors are encouraged to meet with their mentees a couple of times a month
  • A year commitment – a year of making a difference in someone else’s life


What is the CWC Bridge to College & Success program?

  • Prepares at-risk LatinX students to independently and successfully transition from high school to college
  • Develops English skills to prepare these students for college-level classes
  • Earn college credits for completion of English Composition I and College Orientation
  • Explore interests to build a path toward a meaningful career with job shadowing or internships
  • Meets 4 mornings a week throughout the summer
