Description Contact Nonprofit Directly

The library is collaborating with Hole Food Rescue again this summer. It will be our second summer being the “bookish” partner of the fantastic, lunch-providing, book-providing Sprout Mobile! Starting June 14, the Sprout Mobile will travel to Blair Place Apartments, Powderhorn Park, Mike Yokel Park, Miller Park, May Park, and Timbers Apartments through August 27. The Sprout Mobile not only offers children free lunches in their neighborhoods, it gives away free books to these young readers. That’s where you come in!

We are looking for volunteers who can give the books away in a fun and thoughtful manner. Must provide own transportation, either vehicle, bike or on foot, to meet the Sprout Mobile at the different locations (your choice) during the week, for 1-4 hours (your choice), 10:30am-2:30pm. Being able to lift milk crates of books helpful. You will be outside, not indoors or in the Sprout Mobile. Shifts and days will be self-scheduled online for maximum flexibility! If interested, more details provided upon request.
