Join us in supporting Slow Food in the Teton’s vision of good, clean, and fair food for all by volunteering at the People’s Market this summer! The People’s Market is a family friendly farmers market held 4-7 pm every Wednesday, June 2nd through September 22nd on the Center for the Arts lawn. The purpose of the event is to serve as a market for local growers and producers; an incubator for locally-made, sustainable crafts; and a gathering space for the community to celebrate local and regional, good, clean and fair food.
We are seeking volunteers to assist with market set-up, implementation, break-down, and clean-up. The work involves interacting with market vendors and patrons, some heavy lifting, carrying items across the CFA lawn, bending over, and reaching overhead. There are three 2-hour volunteer shifts, the first beginning at 1:30pm and the last ending at 7:30pm. Please reach out to Lucille (firstname.lastname@example.org) for additional information and to sign up! We currently have a pressing need for volunteers on June 2nd and June 9th. Thank you!
