Doug Coombs Foundation is launching a mentoring cohort program called Be REAL – Resilient, Empathetic, Active, and a Leader. We are searching for any fun, energetic community members to become active mentors and commit to one full day and one afternoon per month.

Details about the program:

From our other programs, we will select a group of middle school boys and a group of girls and pair each gender-specific cohort with 3 mentors. 1-2 times per month, activities will be planned for each group by the DCF Mentoring Coordinator, anything from nordic skiing in the park to ropes course at TSS to walking adoptable dogs. The goals of the program are to
  • Engage DCF skiers outside of ski program in leadership building activities
  • Develop DCF’s influence in lives of low income families in Teton County by continuing to create more opportunities for empowerment
  • Introduce DCF kids to a healthy outdoor lifestyle
  • Connect community members and relevant organizations with Latino community and DCF kids
  • Organize a strong group of young advocates for environmental conservation

Anyone interested in becoming a mentor or learning more about the program, please contact Maggie at maggie@dougcoombsfoundation.org
