The Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion of Jack­son Hole has just com­plet­ed the bien­ni­al Jack­son Hole Non­prof­it Com­pen­sa­tion Sur­vey, and the 2026 Com­pen­sa­tion Report will be avail­able May-June 2026. Please note that only orga­ni­za­tions that com­plet­ed the sur­vey will have access to the 2026 report. Reports from pre­vi­ous years are avail­able here ( 2024 / 2022 / 2020 / 2018).

What is the JH Non­prof­it Com­pen­sa­tion Survey/​Report?

The bien­ni­al Com­pen­sa­tion Sur­vey is admin­is­tered every two years by a third-par­ty sta­tis­ti­cian on behalf of the Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion of Jack­son Hole. The report com­piled from this sur­vey is pub­lished as a resource for the exec­u­tive staff and boards of Jack­son Hole non­prof­its in review­ing employ­ee com­pen­sa­tion and devel­op­ing bud­gets. Indi­vid­ual respons­es are con­fi­den­tial and not linked to your organization. 

Who should com­plete it?

Some­one knowl­edge­able about your organization’s bud­get and staff com­pen­sa­tion (e.g. Exec­u­tive Direc­tor, CFO, Board Chair). Par­tic­i­pa­tion is lim­it­ed to non­prof­its based in Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming. Please com­plete one sur­vey per organization. 

How long does it take?

Esti­mat­ed 30 – 40 minutes 

Who receives the data and when?

Only orga­ni­za­tions that com­plete the sur­vey will have access to the 2026 Non­prof­it Com­pen­sa­tion Report, pub­lished lat­er this spring. His­toric JH Non­prof­it Com­pen­sa­tion Reports are avail­able here: 2024 / 2022 / 2020 / 2018

Pro­fes­sion­al Devel­op­ment Grants

Strength­en­ing non­prof­it skills and capacity

The Com­mu­ni­ty Foun­da­tion sup­ports local non­prof­its in seek­ing pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment oppor­tu­ni­ties that will strength­en their orga­ni­za­tion­al knowl­edge, skills, and capac­i­ty. As a com­ple­ment to our work­shop offer­ing, non­prof­its based in and serv­ing Teton Coun­ty, Wyoming may apply for up to $500 once per cal­en­dar year to help off­set pro­fes­sion­al devel­op­ment and con­tin­u­ing edu­ca­tion expenses.

Foun­da­tion Direc­to­ry Online

Vis­it Teton Coun­ty Library to find grant oppor­tu­ni­ties and prospec­tive new donors in your orga­ni­za­tion’s field of inter­est using Foun­da­tion Direc­to­ry Online. This pow­er­ful grant research tool pro­vides data and insights on 228,000+ pri­vate and inde­pen­dent foun­da­tions, cor­po­rate foun­da­tions, fed­er­al fun­ders, and pub­lic char­i­ties, 900,000+ grant recip­i­ents, and 19 mil­lion+ grants. Onsite library users also have access to Grants to Indi­vid­u­als, which includes pro­files of 10,000 grant­mak­ers with details on fun­ders that pro­vide schol­ar­ships, fel­low­ships, grants, and a wide range of finan­cial sup­port to indi­vid­u­als such as stu­dents. These resources are avail­able thanks to the Can­did Rur­al Pilot Pro­gram.

Vol­un­teers

Vol­un­teers are a cru­cial resource for non­prof­it orga­ni­za­tions. Engag­ing vol­un­teers effec­tive­ly is an essen­tial part of a nonprofit’s abil­i­ty to con­nect with its com­mu­ni­ty and main­tain pos­i­tive pub­lic rela­tions. As such, non­prof­its have an oblig­a­tion to act as respon­si­ble stew­ards of the skills, ener­gy, and time that vol­un­teers bring to the orga­ni­za­tion.
