Confessions of an Executive Director…What It Really Means to Lead a Nonprofit – SESSION THREE

This is part of a series of workshops for a cohort only, and cannot be taken à la carte. You must sign up for all three workshops in the series.

Series Overivew: When you became an Executive Director, was there a manual detailing all of your responsibilities? Probably not. Over the next three months, spend time with  Kari Anderson,  a former executive director who has tips and tools that will help you thrive as a leader. In three 3.5-hour sessions, you’ll dive into roles and responsibilities that executive directors juggle in order to ensure organizational success. Importantly, you will leave each session with a framework to organize and prioritize where and how to spend your time!

Session Three: Public Relations & Succession Planning

Key session training items and takeaways:

  • The importance of storytelling
  • How to speak in public (yes, you have to speak in public!)
  • Friday afternoon thank-yous
  • Effective succession planning
  • Promoting from within vs. hiring from the outside
  • How to avoid “Founders Syndrome”

Cost: $100 per person for the series. Coffee and light breakfast provided for each workshop.
