About Elizabeth Cogburn Birnie

Born and raised in Atlanta, Elizabeth fell in love with the Tetons as a child joining her parents on ski trips to Teton Village. After graduating from Wheaton College in Massachusetts with a BA in Art History, Elizabeth was eager to move West. Pursuing her love of learning, she completed a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State.

Elizabeth has a variety of experiences with local non-profits. Before joining the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole, Elizabeth worked as the Director of Membership at the National Museum of Wildlife and the Director of Advancement at the Jackson Hole Classical Academy. Outside of the office, Elizabeth enjoys skiing, fishing, and gardening with her family.
