Art for Action: An Evening of Climate Advocacy

Join New Normal exhibiting artist Ava Reynolds, Wyoming Outdoor Council, and JH Climate Action Collective for an evening of art and climate advocacy on Thursday, March 20th, 5-7pm in the Center Commons. This event will explore the environmental themes behind New Normal, featuring an artist talk, insights on climate policy from Margie Lynch of JHCAC, and a call to action from the Wyoming Outdoor Council with a hands-on letter-writing campaign. Attendees will have the opportunity to craft personal messages advocating for critical climate programs that benefit Jackson and Wyoming as a whole. Light refreshments will be provided.
Why It Matters:
Following Executive Order 14154, hundreds of community-benefiting programsmany funded by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and 2021 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL)have been frozen. These programs support energy efficiency, lower utility costs, reduce emissions, and enhance local resilience across Wyoming. While some funding may be restored in the coming weeks, several initiatives remain at risk of being repealed entirely. Your voice can help make a difference.
