Solitude Monitoring Training - Moose Creek Trail, Jedediah Smith Wilderness

This early season hike provides training for solitude monitoring, Wyoming Wilderness Association's volunteer stewardship project! Both the Caribou-Targhee and Bridger-Teton National Forests need help gathering this data within the Wilderness areas they manage. By joining this outing, you'll be equipped with the skills to contribute to one of the easiest and vital citizen science opportunities around, all while hiking in our beautiful backcountry.

For the upcoming outing, please anticipate being outside for 5 - 6 hours. We'll follow the Moose Creek trail along its remote and beautiful drainage, enjoy lunch in the Jedediah Smith Wilderness, and learn about solitude monitoring from Caribou-Targhee National Forest and WWA staff.

Registration for this event is required, as there are limited spots available. To RSVP or request more information, please email Carlie (carlie@wildwyo.org).
