Learn how you can volunteer with the Habitat Heroes at our Season Kick-off Orientation Event
The Habitat Heroes Volunteer Program was launched in 2023 to
harness the energy of residents concerned about the impact of invasive plants
on public lands in Teton County. This program supplements invasive plant
management conducted by land management agencies and provides training and
experience in the identification of invasive plants and when and how to utilize
manual management techniques. Such experience can empower members of the public
to manage invasive plants on their own land as well as in their favorite
natural areas.
The Habitat Heroes Orientation event will kick-off the 2025
season, providing attendees with a detailed introduction to the program, a
recap of prior year successes, and opportunities for involvement this
season.
Habitat Heroes representatives from Teton County Weed &
Pest District, Teton Conservation District, Jackson Hole Wildlife Foundation,
Bridger-Teton National Forest, and Astoria Hot Springs Park will be present to
share their experiences and successes working with volunteers and answer any
questions.
