Nearly $800K granted to nonprofits through 2026 Competitive Grants
Grants Announcement
Our Competitive Grants program supported 57 local nonprofit organizations with $794,000 during the latest granting cycle. The Community Foundation’s grants serve a wide range of needs, including Health & Human Services, Arts & Culture, Conservation & Environment, Animals, Education, Civic and Recreation.
“The organizations we’re funding are tackling urgent community needs with imagination and determination,” said Laurie Andrews, President of the Community Foundation. “Their collaborative spirit and perseverance truly moved us, and we’re proud to support the important work they’re doing in our community.”
This year, the Community Foundation received 66 applications for Competitive Grants totaling nearly $1.15 million in requests. The grant requests were reviewed by a volunteer committee comprised of 30 community members, including 4 high school students. Grants were awarded based on community need and anticipated impact. Funding for the Competitive Grants program is provided by Old Bill’s CoChallengers, Friends of the Match, individual donors and endowed funds. The full list of grantees is detailed below.
