Community Foundation Awards $1.1M in Catalyst Grants
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s Catalyst Grants program awarded over $1.1 million to 27 local nonprofits working to create lasting change in our community. Through four focused grant programs, these funds support innovative organizations tackling the root causes of complex challenges like affordable housing, behavioral health, and educational disparities.
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole announced today that its Catalyst Grants program supported 27 local nonprofit organizations with over $1.1 million. This grantmaking channel consists of four distinct programs: Behavioral Health Initiative Grants, Education & Families Initiative Grants, Housing Solutions Initiative Grants, and Opportunities Grants. While the four programs vary thematically, their unifying goal is to address complex community issues by funding innovative, systems-changing strategies and partnerships. Complex challenges, such as affordable housing, behavioral health and educational disparities, often persist because of systemic constraints. These may include market forces, policies, incentives, societal norms and narratives, and knowledge gaps. Catalyst Grants support Teton County changemakers who innovatively address the conditions that perpetuate community problems to achieve systems change.
“These 27 organizations exemplify the collaborative, innovative spirit that defines our community,” said Foundation President Laurie Andrews. “By investing in solutions that tackle root causes — not just symptoms — we’re supporting the changemakers who are building a more resilient, inclusive Teton County.”
Grants were awarded based on systems change potential, community need, and organizational collaborations. Decisions were made by volunteer reviewer committees with diverse areas of expertise and lived experiences.
Catalyst Grants are funded through the generosity of private donors who support systems change work in our community.
