About Michael Nash

Michael Nash has dedicated his career to supporting those who serve, bringing more than 33 years in the National Park Service, and deep experience across Teton County’s interagency culture, to his role as Director of the Teton Interagency Peer Support (TIPS) program. In June 2010, he moved to Jackson to serve as the Chief Park Ranger of Grand Teton National Park, where he and his wife raised their two children.

In 2021, Michael became a leading voice in peer support, launching the first program within the Department of the Interior, training more than 125 Peer Support Specialists who supported nearly 2,000 law enforcement officers, dispatchers, and family members nationwide. His work emphasizes early identification, and how proactive care can prevent long-term challenges and struggles associated with first responder work. Today, he advances the TIPS mission, ensuring every first responder and their family has access to confidential support, trusted resources, and a culture that prioritizes mental health and readiness.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys skiing, mountain biking, trail running, and practicing yoga with his wife in the mountains and trails of Jackson Hole.
