Systems of Education is seeking a Backbone Leader to be housed within the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole. 

Job Title: Backbone Leader of Systems of Education

Location: Jackson, WY

Salary: Salary starts at $95,000. Full benefits are included. 

Target Start Date: August, 2023

Overview: Systems of Education and the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole seek a full-time backbone leader to facilitate ongoing collective impact among K-12 schools, out-of-school education organizations, businesses, and government agencies to make out-of-school time more equitable, accessible, and enriching for all students and families in Teton County, Wyoming.  

The backbone leader will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Providing strategic guidance toward Systems of Education’s (SOE) vision
  • Guiding, coordinating, and facilitating SOE activities
  • Cultivating community engagement in support of SOE’s work
  • Establishing shared measurement, learning processes, and frameworks to evaluate progress
  • Advancing funding to support SOE

Retirement Plan

You are encouraged to enroll in our 401(k) plan and contribute pre- or post-tax to your retirement plan. We match 100% of your 401(k) contributions, up to 3% of gross compensation and 50% for an additional 2% on top of that. For a starting salary of $50K, that amounts to $2K per year towards your retirement.

Paid Time Off

Between personal leave (12 days annually) and paid leave (starting at 10 days annually), you will accrue over 20 days per year of paid time off and are encouraged to use it. Our office is closed for all federal bank holidays (12 per year); we provide two additional floating holidays for individual observance of any other holidays.

You are eligible for an annual merit bonus, subject to our financial capacity. Additionally, salaries are adjusted annually (sometime more often) based on cost-of-living changes in the valley, evolving responsibilities, and our overall compensation structure.
