Old Bill's Fun Run
About, Details

Twenty-four years ago, an anonymous, philanthropic couple, fondly known as Mr. and Mrs. Old Bill, envisioned a collaborative event to support local nonprofits. For the first time, organizations came together in an efficient, unified fundraiser that raised awareness of community needs. Over the last two decades, more than $173 million has been raised for local organizations, and it has inspired similar events around the country.

Everyone is welcome to join in, show support for, and learn more about Jackson Hole’s nonprofits. Participation requires only your presence and a willingness to have fun!

Why a Run?

Mr. Old Bill loves to run, and one day while on a run he got the idea for an annual community-wide fundraising event to benefit all local nonprofits.

Who Can Join?

Everyone is welcome to enjoy Old Bill’s 2020 festivities, learn about local nonprofits and celebrate philanthropy.

When is Old Bill's?

Old Bill’s is a fundraiser held each summer. In 2020, the Giving Season runs August 1 – September 18. “Run Day Reimagined” festivities will be held Saturday, September 12 at four dispersed locations.

Please check back for details.

Where in Jackson?

On Saturday morning, September 12, dispersed, socially-distanced Old Bill’s gatherings will be held at four designated locations around the valley (locations TBA). At each location, festivities will include music, free snacks, free Old Bill’s gear and a celebratory airplane flyover. A team of drone photographers will film the festivities from the sky. Afterward, community members are encouraged to independently run/hike/bike/walk the 5K of their choice; Diaper Derby participants are invited to crawl a shorter distance such as 5 yards. Suggested 5K routes will be provided at oldbills.org.

Check back for more information as event details are finalized. Public health metrics are a primary consideration.
