Volunteer Stories

Jane Jerger

Jane Jerger is especially dedicated to Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area. She has been a dedicated volunteer since the ground breaking on Habitat’s first home back in 1997 through the construction of every Habitat home to date. She also served on the Habitat Board for six years and numerous committees. Still an active volunteer, Jane continues to bring a surge of energy to the construction site. Proving that age nor sex matters out at the construction site, Jane knows there is nothing she can’t handle. Jane is also a long-time volunteer with the Community Safety Network.

Jane Says:

“I volunteer for a few reasons. I want to help other people, especially people whose position I was once in. I climbed out of it and now I want to help people who want to help themselves. I also volunteer for things that I enjoy doing, like building homes. Volunteering is perfect since I can’t sit still very well and I enjoy working with people.”
