Nonprofit Finance 101

For some, managing organizational finances is scarier than a Halloween horror movie. This introduction to nonprofit finances will take the terror out of keeping the books. Participants will learn to read and understand financial statements and Form 990s, produce a budget and work with a CPA.

Time to Get Real: How to be a Great Board Member 2.0

You’ve read the books on the board’s roles and responsibilities, and maybe you’ve attended our popular How to be a Great Board Member workshop. Now it’s time to talk about some real-world scenarios that emerge for nonprofit board members. This participative workshop will give attendees an opportunity to submit questions and true-life situations ahead of time to be discussed along with case studies. Dinner is provided.

Board members and staff of nonprofits will learn about the importance of good leadership, clarify their respective roles and discover how to create systems and cultures that increase the effectiveness of all stakeholders while building organizational sustainability.
Building Healthy Work Environments

Creating healthy cultures doesn’t happen by accident. Learn practices for building respectful, supportive working environments, and for managing conflict. Attendees will learn the attributes of effective teams, identify different approaches to learning, personality preferences, and leadership styles and explore how to recognize and deal with differing perspectives.
Where: Community Foundation of Jackson Hole- 245 East Simpson
Cost: $20 per class per person or $10 for Wyoming Nonprofit Network members.
