Giving through the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole is an easy three step process:
Define your charitable objectives.
Where would you like your gift to have an impact? How involved do you want to be in the granting process? Do you want to involve your family?
Define your financial objectives.
What types of tax benefits are you seeking? Do you want to give an outright gift now or a planned gift? How much to you want to contribute? What assets do you want to use to create your fund?
Determine the fund type and structure that best suits your needs.
Select a name for your fund and complete a new fund agreement. If a fund that meets your needs already exists, you can simply contribute to that fund without completing an agreement.
Once you make your gift, it will be used to start your fund or added to the fund you have designated. The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole takes care of tax reporting, check writing and all other fund and grant administration. You may recommend grants from your fund, review fund balances and activity online and receive quarterly fund statements.
Our staff is here to help you at any point along the way. We will work with you, your attorney and any other advisors to facilitate your giving. For more information or to get started, please contact Katharine Conover or Karen Coleman, 739-1026.
