Agency Endowment
Establishing an endowment fund through the Community Foundation is a simple and effective method for providing a permanent source of unrestricted income for your organization.
Our experienced staff handles the investment management and administrative details, so that your staff and board can concentrate on fulfilling your organization's mission. We also provide you with quarterly and year-end statements of your fund's activity.
The Community Foundation offers trusted, local expertise and the personalized service you desire in creating a permanent endowment for your organization's future stability.
Permanence
We have been in existence since 1989, assisting thousands of donors and not-for-profit organizations in fulfilling their charitable giving needs. We take pride in the role we have played in helping to fulfill the needs of our fellow nonprofits in the Jackson Hole region and in carrying out the dreams of our donors.
Sound Stewardship of Your Funds
You have peace of mind in knowing that your organization's funds and charitable intent are being managed in perpetuity by an established organization.
Investment Management
With over $29 million in assets, The Community Foundation can assure efficiencies and economies of scale. Our endowment portfolio is managed by an independent registered investment advisor for long-term growth in the market.
Accountability
An independent, certified audit is performed bi-annually, and we make a full accounting of our activities through our annual report and other public documents. Copies of the Foundation's financial statements are available at your request.
Low Administrative Costs
The Community Foundation has a low administrative fee of 1% annually for the balance of endowed funds that support administration of the Community Fund as well as the Community Foundation’s program activities. We provide all administrative services and handle the bothersome paperwork and IRS reports, so your staff and board don't have to.
Flexible Gift Acceptance
Through your endowed fund at the Community Foundation, you can accept gifts of appreciated stock, real estate and other assets that you may not be prepared to accept on your own. We also can help your donors establish a plan for giving to your organization after their lifetime, as well as plans that provide income for life.
Access to Planned Giving Tools
Our experienced staff also can facilitate complex planned gift options, such as gifts of life insurance, bequests, retirement plans, charitable trusts and charitable gift annuities, for your donors.
Immediate Tax Deductions
Because the Community Foundation is a public charity, donations qualify for the maximum available deduction for charitable contributions in the year when the gift is made. We also can offer solutions to help reduce your donor's estate-tax liability. About The Milestone Group
