Economic Response (ER) Initiative
The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has been improving lives through philanthropic leadership for 20 years. Never has such leadership been more important than now. Initially, the Board had hoped to raise $150,000 for the Foundation with a big 20th anniversary celebration this year. However, given the increased demand for basic services in Jackson, the Community Foundation decided to postpone the event and direct funding to where it is most urgently needed.
To address our community’s growing needs in the face of the current economy, the Foundation has established a special funding initiative to support critical organizations providing food, shelter, safety, emergency financial assistance and healthcare to vulnerable families and individuals. Organizations addressing Teton County’s most pressing human needs can submit applications for funding that will be reviewed as quickly as possible, typically within two weeks. In this way, nonprofits will receive funding as the need arises, rather than having to wait for a predetermined application deadline. This initiative is in addition to the Foundation’s biannual Competitive Grants program.
