When the Grand Teton Music Festival built its concert hall in 1974, Teton Village was a quiet community at the base of a remote resort.  Today, the rural setting has evolved into one of the region’s most popular destinations.  While extraordinary success brings more music lovers to our festival, the aging Walk Hall needs protection against noise and changes in climate to effectively function year-round in its modern-day environment.  Highlights of the project include:  a new outer shell and roof which will block external noise and preserve its rich acoustics, improvements to the climate-control system, replacement of the stage floor, and expansion of the ticket office and restrooms.

The purpose of the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center (JHCCC) Campaign is to build a new mental health facility to house all operations at 640 East Broadway, across from St. John's Hospital. JHCCC has been the designated mental health care provider for Teton County since 1972 and sees over 700 clients a year on a sliding fee scale with no person denied services based on their ability to pay. Additionally, JHCCC is the crisis service provider in JH and maintains contracts with the State of Wyoming, Teton County and the Town of Jackson. The new 9000 SF facility will house the Child & Family Team, Mountain House Adult Therapeutic Outreach Program, the Adult Therapy Team, the Hispanic Outreach Services Team and the Administration. The facility will be ready for service in June 2007.

$1:$1 matching funds still available for your donation.

Teton Literacy Program moved into a newly constructed, permanent location it purchased on High School Road. Unifying our services, rather than scattering in different locations, makes a significant difference in the number of program options available, number of students served, and consistency of services that are delivered. Students’ needs are met in an atmosphere conducive for learning with structured classrooms, tutorial rooms, and library housed together. Being located in the heart of Jackson’s educational center creates an added bonus of convenience for many of our student population.

The new facility is already having a measurable impact on our clients.

  • Average number of hours per student in tutoring up by 20%.
  • Enrollment of adult students increased nearly 50%.
  • Retention of adult students has risen by 40%.

Capital Campaign contributions are specifically allocated to reducing principal debt and monthly interest expense. Savings will expand and enhance student services.
