Strengthening our Community
Since 1989, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has been bringing our community together and efficiently using available resources to help strengthen Jackson Hole. By partnering with local and regional agencies, pooling the financial resources of our donors and awarding discretionary grants to non-profit organizations, the Community Foundation and our donors are responding to the increasingly complex and growing issues and needs affecting our region.
Accomplishments
Over the years, the Community Foundation has quietly worked to make things happen in Jackson Hole. Through our efforts to convene individuals and resources and the development and management of Old Bill's Fun Run for Charities, the Community Foundation has made a significant difference for our community and non-profits nation-wide. Some of our highlights include:
- Granting over $127 million since 1989 to qualified non-profit organizations;
- Enabling local organizations to raise over $53 million through Old Bill's Fun Run for Charities;
- Providing leadership and Foundation assets to back the building of the Jackson Hole Community Counseling Center and Community Center for the Arts;
- Consistently granting the most dollars per capita of any community foundation nation-wide since 2001.
Goals for the Future:
Here at the Community Foundation we will be fulfilling our mission by developing new services and programs to assist donors and non-profits, by growing overall community charitable assets, by providing leadership in collaborative partnerships, and by supporting the sustainability of our philanthropic community. We will be strategically positioned to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Jackson Hole as the community evolves.
